Louisiana Contractor License (LA) Seminars, Exams, Licensing
A contractor's license is required for any work in the amount of $50,000, except as below. Residential contractors are required to be licensed if the project exceeds $75,000.
All plumbers, electricians, and mechanical contractors are required to obtain a State commercial license with the State Licensing Board for Contractors to bid, contract, perform work, or be issued a permit for these trades if the cost of a project is in the amount of $10,000 or more.
